So, almost a year later, I am finally getting around to posting my first wedding endeavor.
Last year, on summer solstice, Christopher and Victoria were united in marriage amongst their friends and family.
Christopher is a relative of a friend of mine, Michelle Peede, whose best friend from childhood, Michelle Connelly of Connelly Photography and Design was coming in from the east coast to photograph the event. The photographer was without an assistant or second shooter, so they thought I might like to come and help out. They thought right.
I learned a LOT through this experience, watching Michelle work her magic with poses, lighting, and details.
One of the most important lessons I took away is that photographing weddings is very hard work, but can be a lot of fun too. Especially if you are working with a vivacious wedding party and a great group of guests.
Victoria was a photographer’s dream, because not only did she not complain about taking the time to get in all the formal shots before the reception, but she wanted to make sure that every moment and every guest was captured in pictures.
Here are just a fraction of the images I captured that day, there were too many favorites to show here.
